Children’s Council is a sponsor agency of the Child Care Food Program, a federally funded nutrition program that reimburses providers for feeding nutritious meals to the children in their care. We hold monthly orientations for interested providers. To enroll, please call (415) 276-2900 and ask for the Food Program.
Family child care providers in San Francisco and San Mateo counties enroll in the program and keep daily records of their menus and attendance. Food Program staff conduct 3 annual site visits and providers must attend at least 1 annual workshop. We run the program in English and Spanish. We also have online claiming available.
The program also offers cooking classes, recipe ideas, an annual nutrition fair and physical activity classes. To see upcoming classes, please view the calendar of events.
