BizNest at Children’s Council offers workshops and classes that provide concrete ways to build your knowledge and skills as a child care provider. Most of our workshops and classes are open to all. Please note that some programs are open only to licensed child care providers. Financial assistance may be available for fee-based classes.

The list connects families seeking quality care and education to programs, allowing programs to report and fill Early Learning For All and Title 5 vacancies.

CACFP/Food Program: New Provider Orientations
Licensed child care providers who are interested in receiving monthly partial reimbursements for serving healthy meals by joining the CACFP/Food Program may email our health and nutrition team to learn more and schedule a New Food Program Provider Orientation via Zoom.

Healthy Apple Workshops
Create a healthy child care setting with these free workshops offered by the Healthy Apple Program. Any child care provider who wants to inspire children to eat healthier foods and be more active is welcome to participate. To learn more email Raegan Sales or visit www.HealthyApple.org.
Health & Safety
This 2 day (8-hour) virtual course meets the Preventive Health and Safety requirement for Community Care Licensing. This class is held on Monday and Tuesday, and you will receive the class zoom link 24 hours before it begins.
Course fee is $100 and registration is required.

Pediatric CPR & First Aid
To apply for financial assistance covering the cost of classes, fill out and submit our reimbursement form, available in English, Spanish, and Chinese.
At the completion of this one-day course, you will receive your certification from the Health & Safety Institute (HSI), which is an approved affiliate training program by the California EMS Authority (EMSA)*.
Course fee is $120, registration is required.
