Early educators in today’s world will undoubtably encounter children who have experienced trauma in their lives. As such, it is important for early educators to understand how trauma affects children’s brain development, the difference between challenging behaviors and those associated with trauma, and teaching strategies that build children’s self-efficacy and resilience. Early educators will walk away from this workshop having learned how to:

• Create environments that support resilience and self-efficacy.

• Implement teaching strategies specifically designed to support children’s social emotional development and self-confidence.

• Access local resources with catered supports for children and families who have experienced trauma.
