Training Overview:
The Family Child Care Fundamentals Series was designed to offer high-quality, valuable, and accessible entrepreneurship training for individuals embarking on new childcare ventures, as well as for established childcare providers. Our Training-of-Trainers program equips facilitators with the resources, knowledge, and strategies necessary to deliver strength-based training to educators, enabling them to apply their skills, knowledge, and interests in a unique and impactful manner within their businesses. We provide comprehensive tools and resources to deliver engaging and compelling workshops.
The FCC Fundamentals Series covers the following key topics:
- Design of a Unique Program
- Curriculum Design and Activities
- Environment Design
- Marketing
- Contracts and Policies
- Communication with Families
- Business Finances
- Business Taxes
Target Audience:
Partners from Resource and Referral Agencies in California who want to effectively teach the Family Child Care Fundamentals Series in their county.
Series objectives:
• Increase the supply of child care
• Ensure businesses are sustainable
• Help women create a high quality and unique program that is attractive to families
• Help existing businesses go from survival to thriving
Prerequisites:
Experience delivering interactive workshops and training.
Intent to deliver training content
Course Materials:
Attendees will receive an electronic copy of the course manual with the presentation slides and handouts.
About this event:
This online event will take place over 4 days:
Tuesday, March 19 from 10 am to 3:30 pm
Wednesday, March 20 from 10 am to 3:30 pm
Thursday, March 21 from 10 am to 3:30 pm
Friday, March 22 from 10 am to 3:30 pm
Each day we will have a one-hour lunch.
Technical Requirements:
The TOT will be delivered virtually through the Zoom platform, attendees must use a computer and have their camera on. Active participation is encouraged.
Attendees must attend all four days in order to receive their certification.
