Laurence Jones (They/Them) brings to Children’s Council nearly 16 years of program development, non-profit operations, budgeting and grants management experience. Laurence’s career in Nonprofit administration focused on education, whether arts and early childhood education, mental health awareness, food justice or racial equity.

Outside of work, Laurence has previously spent time tirelessly advocating for housing access and security as chair of the East Palo Alto Rent Stabilization board. They have also worked on communications for local ballot measures regarding housing affordability and sustainability in marginalized communities, most recently working on Measure L in East Palo Alto in 2022.

In their spare time, Laurence loves practicing the art of film photography, enjoys curating their vinyl collection, braising meat and baking pies, writing social critique essays for Tasteful Rude or talking way too much about old cars.
