Our Pledge
Children’s Council is committed to providing a safe, productive, inclusive and welcoming environment for all clients, vendors, and guests. valuing their individual characteristics and lived experience.
All clients, vendors, and guests are required to abide by this Code of Conduct.
Expected Behavior
- Treat all participants with respect and consideration, valuing a diversity of views and opinions
- Communicate openly with respect for others, critiquing ideas rather than individuals and gracefully accepting constructive criticism
- Acknowledge the contributions of others
- Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow participants
- Respect the rules and policies of the project and venue
Unacceptable Behavior includes, but is not limited to:
- Harassment, including unwanted sexual advances, intimidation, or discrimination in any form
- Fighting, physical or verbal abuse/conflict by anyone to anyone, including repeated use of pronouns other than those requested
- Theft and deliberate or careless damage or destruction of any organization property
- Being under the influence of alcohol, marijuana or other substances that impair the ability to participate
- Disclosure of confidential information of the organization or its clients
- Other conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting
In the event that a client displays any behaviors that may violate the conduct policy, Children’s Council will take appropriate actions up to and including the immediate discontinuance of services or removal from premises.
