Join Healthy Apple and SF Children and Nature to learn the basics of how to garden with kids.
Gardening 101 for beginner and novice gardeners. Come and get your hands dirty while learning:
- What veggies will grow well in your garden
- How, when and where to plant seeds vs. plant starts
- How to keep your soil healthy
- How to harvest, clean and store your garden veggies
Please note: this workshop will take place in-person at:
Alemany Farm, 700 Alemany Blvd, San Francisco, CA 94110
Be sure to sign up for part two on Saturday, June 10:
Gardening with Kids: Learn how to work with young children in a garden including appropriate tools, safety, and curriculum.
Join one or both workshops taught by the SF Rec & Park Community Gardens Team
Participants will take home seeds and seedlings as well as a few other surprises.
