Provider Event: For the Future of Our Children’s Nutrition 20210428
April 28, 2021 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
FreeFor some families, the food their little one receives in their child care program is the only assistance preventing that child from going hungry.
Many SF early educators participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), a critical program for both parents and educators to ensure that children have access to healthy food.
Join us for an exciting, timely conversation with Children’s Council’s CEO Gina Fromer and a panel of experts about food insecurity, CACFP, and the importance of quality food for young children. Together we’ll talk about food programs educators can participate in and their impact on our community’s children and families, as well as our city’s economy. There will also be time for a Q&A.
Overview:
The event will be a conversation moderated by Children’s Council of San Francisco’s CEO Gina M. Fromer. The four panelists will discuss the importance and work of the CACFP, the state of the CACFP prior to the pandemic in San Francisco, the current state and what needs to be done. The conversation will include a Q&A section to engage the audience.
