About our team:
The Incubator Team leads women on a transformational professional development pathway that results in the creation of unique and dynamic childcare businesses that support them and serve the diversity of Californian families.
Training Overview:
The Family Child Care Fundamentals Series was created to provide high-quality, valuable, accessible, and empowering entrepreneurship training to all women who are starting new childcare businesses and for established childcare providers. Our Training-Of-Trainers will provide the resources, knowledge, and facilitation strategies to deliver strength-based training to educators where skills, knowledge, and interests are applied in their business in a unique way. We will also provide you with the tools and resources to deliver engaging and compelling workshops. The FCC Fundamentals Series covers the following topics:
- Design of a Unique Program
- Curriculum Design and Activities
- Environment Design
- Marketing
- Contracts and Policies
- Communication with Families
- Business Finances
- Business Taxes
Target Audience:
Partners from Resource and Referral Agencies in California who want to effectively teach the Family Child Care Fundamentals Series in their county.
Series objectives:
• Increase the supply of child care
• Ensure businesses are sustainable
• Help women create a high quality and unique program that is attractive to families
• Help existing businesses go from survival to thriving
Prerequisites:
Experience delivering interactive workshops and training.
Course Materials:
Attendees will receive a course manual with the presentation slides and handouts. We will also provide access to our PowerPoint files and the FCC Fundamentals workbook.
About this event:
This online event will take place over 4 days:
Monday, August 21 from 10 am to 3 pm
Tuesday, August 22 from 10 am to 3 pm
Wednesday, August 23 from 10 am to 3 pm
Thursday, August 24 from 10 am to 3 pm
Each day we will have a one-hour lunch.
Technical Requirements:
The TOT will be delivered virtually through the Zoom platform, attendees must use a computer and have their camera on. Active participation is encouraged.
Attendees must attend all four days in order to receive their certification.
