Farris is a retired early educator

Farris Page is a leading clinician and practitioner in early childhood mental health. In 2013, after more than 25 years with Children’s Council, she retired from her position as Clinical and Child Development Director. During that time, Farris led a team of mental health consultants who trained hundreds of child care providers to better respond to the needs of children experiencing trauma.

In 1989 she co-founded San Francisco’s Therapeutic Preschool, one of the first early childhood education programs in the nation to be fully inclusive of children with special needs.
