Emilie Baldwin
Associate Director of Quality Child Care
Emilie is an accomplished professional with over 15 years of experience in the early childhood education field. She has a proven track record of success, having overseen her own high-quality child care program in the Bay Area for 13 years. During her tenure, her child care program achieved recognition as an official university-approved learning site for San Francisco State University, all while being an integral part of the Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS).
Driven by her passion, Emilie studied early childhood education, and earned a bachelor’s degree in leadership. She is certified in CLASS, and Protected Factors. Additionally, she is a SCRUM Master and a Lean Specialist.
In her role at Children’s Council, Emilie draws on her diverse expertise in early childhood education, instructional coaching, project management, strategic planning, policy and procedure development, and staff training to support the department of quality child care.
Emilie leads a team of instructional coaches who are committed to the mission of providing high-quality child care for positive child outcomes. She empowers her staff to implement evidence-based coaching practices and adult learning principles, enabling them to engage effectively with their clients. Her extensive knowledge and innovative approach drive impactful services, utilizing her insights and perspective to advance the quality of child care services. Emilie’s dedication ensures that children across San Francisco receive the highest standard of care and education resulting in positive child outcomes.
