I’m Kara Marshall, the Business Operations Support Manager here at Children’s Council with a passion for workforce compensation, workplace experience, and employee-led change. With over 15 years of experience in workforce training and leadership, I’ve developed a deep understanding of how to approach business challenges with people-focused solutions.

In this role, I specialize in supporting business owners and educators in the Early Childhood Education field here in San Francisco. Whether it’s helping them apply for and maximize much needed grants and resources or helping them learn how to use the latest ECE software, I center my approach on meeting people where they are. My dedication to customized tailored support has led to sustainable increased compensation for over 3,000 preschool educators here in San Francisco (and counting)

Outside of work, you’ll often find me exploring the natural beauty of California with my family or volunteering as the Troop Leader for our neighborhood Girl Scout troop. I’m an avid boardgame enthusiast, finding joy and relaxation in creative strategy and playful competition. Exploring San Francisco’s many neighborhoods, businesses, and natural beauty allows me to bring my love of community and playful engagement together.
